Solid Investment:
While
no one can guarantee that an investment will make
money, The Gifted Learning Project will guarantee that we will follow
the most
ethical and legal rules and laws related to the production of a motion
picture.
All of our investors will receive binding contracts detailing the
disbursement
of profits.
One
major difference between investing in stocks or bonds
and investing in the production of a motion picture is the mindset. A
person
who invests in a motion picture generally has a devotion to the Arts
and in
this case a devotion to helping so many with dyslexia be understood.
This is
honorable. In present day society, many people are not given the
opportunity to
experience what this film project investment has to offer. That is why
it is so
important to give all proponents of the humanity an opportunity to
invest in
the Arts.
The Gifted Learning Project is seeking a corporate sponsor,
general partners (equity participants), advertisers, and inventors to
supplement initial capital insertion and complete financing for the
film. Opportunities also exist for the
smaller
investor and those wishing a tax write-off by contributing to a not-for
profit
charitable organization.
Finance
the film by no-risk bank lending and private
placement investor support with the total investor group receiving up
to 50
percent of the film's net profits.
Investments are held in escrow
until preproduction begins.
Over runs – do investors get a bill?
No we
will have a COMPLETION BOND: A completion bond is
issued by a completion guarantor which is an insurance company that
insures the
production against budget overruns. Before issuing the policy, the
completion
bond company will closely review the production personnel, script and
budget
and assess whether they think this team of individuals can bring in
this script
within the shooting schedule and budget proposed. The completion bond
company
usually is quite diligent in its review because if the film goes over
budget,
the bond company is financially responsible. Having a completion bond
should
give investors some comfort. They know that if the budget is inadequate
to
complete the film, the investors will not confront the dilemma of
either
putting up more money or owning an unfinished film.
“By
Love and Grace” is being produced for release in all
North American and worldwide theatrical, ancillary, allied, and
specialty
markets. The movie is expected to
appeal, critically and commercially, to a mainstream audience of all
age, and
to an enormous specialty audience of 300 million people dealing with
learning
disabilities.
MAKE SURE FUNDS ARE SPENT ON PRODUCTION
During
fundraising, it is common for the filmmaker to set up
an escrow account to hold investor funds. The money stays in the escrow
account
until the filmmaker raises the minimum necessary to produce the film.
If the
filmmaker cannot raise sufficient money, the funds in escrow are
returned to
the investors. By depositing money in an escrow account, investors are
protected because they know none of their capital will be spent unless
and
until all the money needed to produce the film has been raised.
An
exceptional amount of care and effort are being devoted
to the casting process. It is
our
intent to cast at least one celebrity actor in a principal role and one
or more
name actors in cameos. There will be an
outstanding ensemble of actors in each of three age groups, and a mix
of
established actors with up-and-coming actors.
Because of its versatile ensembles of actors and exceptionally
strong
acting roles, perhaps The Gifted Learning Project will bring
recognition to individual
actors, and generate its own new star or stars.
